This is a conference specifically for anousim/conversos from all over South and Central America, and the United States, who are returning to Judaism – or are thinking of returning to Judaism.
The speakers and topics for discussion cover areas that are of interest to anyone in that sort of situation. It also gives them a chance to meet other people who are in a similar situation and have informal conversations about their difficulties and challenges.
Since they are converso they identify with Sephardic topics and themes.
It is held at a synagogue in El Paso although it is for conversos in general, not members of the congregation.
