Mazal tov/Mabrouk to Dubai-based Sephardic businessman Jacob Saba for organizing the historic 1st direct flight between Tel Aviv and Dubai, a major coup that brought a large delegation of Israeli government officials and business leaders to the UAE much sooner than expected. Mr. Saba, the owner of JetAsia, secured special permission for the participants and chartered FlyDubai to conduct this ground-breaking trip out of respect for his adopted country. He is now offering two flights a week, which next week will expand to daily charter flights. During Hanukkah there may be multiple flights per day for Israelis eager to escape the lockdown and enjoy the Emiratis during the holiday and new year.
