Honoring the Spanish Jewish Presence in New Mexico:
A celebration of New Mexico’s Crypro-Jewish
history, languaje and culture
Lecture include Dr. Denis Otero, Senior Pastor at Olive Tree Fellowship in Alburquerque; Dr. Isabelle Medina Sandoval, Author, Educator and Poet; and José Antonio Esquivel, Genealogical Researcher, Independient Historian and Author.
The festival take place the evening of Friday, April 8, 2011, and all day saturday, Aprol 9th. Featured will be a Sephardic / Crypto-Jewish Sabbat Service, a discussion panel of Crypto-Jewish, lectures, poetry, and a Spanish dinner with a special flamenco performance.

Friday, April 8th
7:00pm Sephardic/Crypto-Jewish Kabbalat Shabbat Service led by Daniel Diaz-Huerta with the assistance of the Crypto-Jewish Community.
Saturday, April 9th
09:00am Coffee and juice will be serverd
10:00am Oficio de la mañana: Sephardic/Crypto-Jewish Service led by Rabbi Min Kantrowitz and Daniel Diaz-Huerta with the assistance of Perry Peña.
11:30am Lunch break
12:30pm Dr. Denis Otero will speak about «El Santo Oficio in New Mexico»
01:45pm A panel of Crypto-Jewish telling their incredible stories.
03:15pm Music break.
03:30pm Dr. Isabelle Medina Sandoval will speak on «Guardiationans of Intuition».
04:45pm José Antonio Esquivel will talk about «Un Linaje Converso: A Jewish-Converso Linaje from Cuenca, Spain, to Mexico City and New Mexico, 1370-1695.
06:30pm Enjoy «Cafe Sepharad», a Spanish Dinner with a special flamenco dance. Performance choreographed an dperformed by Katie Marshall y Navarrete. The advanced registretion discount for Cafe Sepharad/Dinner and all lectures is $25.00.
