The American Sephardi Federatoin and the Alliance Israélite Universelle-KIAH invite you to celebrate the launch of an incredible database featuring the lives and writings of over 500 Sephardi sages, who exemplify the classic moral, ethical, inclusive, and tolerant traditional Judaism of Greater Sephardi communities.
We believe that there is a great power in these teachings to promote the Classic Sephardic Judaism, and share this rich textual knowledge and philosophy with the world. The Daily Sage illuminates over 300 years of lesser-known writings and philosophy – sources which were mostly forgotten and lost to the Jewish people, until this project compiled these writings to be shared by all. By sharing this heritage, we have the unique opportunity to spread the humane tradition within The Daily Sage, and promote solidarity and a sense of connection to this legacy amongst Jews worldwide.
Featuring a presentation by Dr. Yehuda Maimaran, CEO of AIU-Kol Israel Haverim, on the ideals and principles behind the rulings of Rabbi Shalom Mashash, A”H, the Meknes-born Chief Sephardic Rabbi of Jerusalem as a case study in the breadth and depth of Sephardi sages.
Limud (learning session) from The Daily Sage by Drori Yehoshua, one of the founders of MeMizrach Shemesh, lecturer at Kiryat Ono College, and a committed educator and activist.
