THE TORAH PROJECT HUMASH ILLUSTRATED BY THE MASTER BARUJ SALINAS

For independent families, communities, collectors and philanthropists will be an honor to own one of the Torah Project Humash books and becoming part of history, because this Unique Torah Project Humash has been presented blessed and received for the first time in History in 2017 to the Holy Father Pope Francis at the Vatican.

He received the first copy at an exclusive presentation at the Vatican on February 23rd 2017. This is the first time in history that a Pope has blessed a Sacred Jewish document the “Torah Project Humash”.

This artistic Torah Project Humash is especially important as each copy contains a handwritten blessing by the Holy Father Pope Francis

The Humash was also presented to the City of Urbino and to the President of The State of Israel Reuven Rivlin.

The Torah Project Humash will also be exhibited at the Jewish Museum of Rome, the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, and Del Prado Museum in Madrid (Muséo Nacional Del Prado), and presented to the Spanish and Sweden monarchs, as well as to Angela Merkel. Chancellor of Germany.

THE TORAH PROJECT HUMASH DESCRIPTION

The Torah Project Humash has 372 pages and it contains all of the five books of Moses in Hebrew, which is the original language.

The Hebrew text is accompanied by commentaries, from recognized personalities in the arts and biblical studies, written in four languages. English, Spanish, Italian and German

There are 27 unique paintings from the Jewish Cuban artist – Master BarujSalinas, which were beautifully reproduced in the technique of lithoserigraphy from the original paintings by the printing house Santa Chiara in the City of Urbino, Italy. (Owned by Marcello and Alberto Tiboni).

This special Torah Project Humash has been printed on 100% cotton paper in 160 gr. which was supplied by the Magnani House, an Italian paper mill in Pescia, Italy.

There are 126 editions of the Torah Project Humash and each one has a wooden cover (called the Jerusalem Book Cover), made by La Casa Gentili, in the small town of Fossombrone, Italy.

All the books are numbered from 1 to 126 and signed by the artist Baruj Salinas and the publishing house ACC Arte Scritta, this aims to identify each book as authentic.

Maestro Baruj Salinas has created for this edition 27 original art pieces, measuring 50×60 centimeters 20×24 inches, that have been reproduced manually by Stamperia Santa Chiara in the Renaissance city of Urbino,(Italy), using  ancient techniques and lithographic  tools, 32 serigraphic  superimpositions of different  colors, with the addition of texture to the surface of the reproductions.

This exclusive portfolios have been printed on pure 100% cotton paper of 270 grams grade supplied by the Italian paper mill  Magnani House in Pescia.

Each of the lithoserigraphic reproductions are signed & numbered by the artist.

Biography of the Jewish Cuban artist 

Baruj Salinas, a Jewish Cuban artist, was born in Havana, Cuba in 1935. His ancestors came from a small town in the north of Spain, which was known for its salt mines (Minas de Sal). Following the Jews expulsion from Spain in 1492, many Jewish families went to Turkey. Baruj Salinas’s family settled in Silibria, Turkey, a small town west of Istanbul. His family lived in Turkey until the 1920’s when, as a result of the Greco-Turkish Wars, many Jewish families decided to move to the Americas, settling in Cuba.
