Sephardic Traditions: A Five Day Residency with Rabbi Dr. Jordi-Gendra-Molina Of Barcelona- October 18th thru October 22nd

Rabbi Dr. Jordi Gendra-Molina of Barcelona, featured guest at this year’s Festival Djudeo Espanyol, returns to New Mexico!

Rabbi Dr. Gendra-Molina has extensive knowledge and a unique life experience and this will be an opportunity to learn from a great scholar. His warmth and energy make him an engaging teacher.

Schedule (October 18-22, 2013):

Friday, Oct.18th, 7P: Sephardic/Crypto-Jewish shabbat dinner at NS.
Saturday, Oct. 19th, 7P: Havdallah service, location tba.
Sunday, Oct 20th, 10:30A-2:30P: Seminar.

• 10:30-Noon– “Sephardic Judaism around the world” (Turkey, Greece, North Africa)
• Noon-1P Enchilada Lunch.
• 1P-2:30P “The Case of the Conversos: Halachik Legal Development”

Monday, Oct. 21st, 6:30—8:30P: Class at NS  “Hanukah Customs in the Sephardic World”
Tuesday, Oct. 22nd, 6:30-8:30P: Class at NS—“Ask the Rabbi”, including a brief basic self introduction.
