Sephardi Mizrahi Studies Site: International Workshop: The Jews of Salonica in the modern period, 1492-1950

This workshop includes ten papers, a plenary speech by Aron Rodrigue  (Stanford University), a presentation of the database ‘Greek Jewish Shoah Testimonies’ and a roundtable discussion. For the complete schedule, download the program.

The workshop is organized in the context of a special issue of the Jewish History Journal on the Jews of Salonica. The issue, scheduled to appear in 2013, is co-edited by Anthony Molho (Brown University & European University Institute), Eyal Ginio (Hebrew University of Jerusalem) and Paris Papamichos Chronakis (University of Thessaly).
