The goals of the Sephardi Association of Victoria, Australia, in building the Sassoon Yehuda Sephardi Synagogue and communal centre is to unite Victorian Sephardi Jewry in a permanent home in order to foster Sephardi heritage and culture. The Association was founded in order to serve the needs of the community into the 21st century.
The observance of the Sephardi traditions is the cornerstone of the Association and it is for this reason that sefarim were obtained from Baghdad and Singapore and more recently one scroll was written for the Association in Melbourne.
