I will explore the historical background to a reunion I am attending in Spain, in April, of descendents, like myself, from the medieval village of Ayllon, northwest of Madrid. We will arrive, strangers all, from twelve countries to recount, recall and explore where our ancestors lived 500 years ago. What happened? What did we learn?»
