Los Muevos Ladineros Event – Sunday, June 14 • 2 PM-3:30 PM

Join us for a fun and educational meetup centered around Ladino!

We are excited to invite you to a meetup of our Los Muevos Ladineros program, where we aim to create a vibrant group of native Ladino speakers, community members, and students who want to learn Ladino in Seattle.

June Meetup Info:

• Location: First Hill, Seattle (address to be sent prior to event). RSVP by the end of the day June 11th

• Program: Our June session will feature a presentation by Julia Peck, a PhD candidate in linguistics at UC Berkeley. She teaches Ladino and created the Ladino En Kaza home language cards.

• Post Meetup Activity (optional): Help our guest speaker in her efforts to record Ladino conversations to assist Ladino teachers and students. More information and sign up form can be found here: https://forms.gle/KDM8q8y1Et7UhEtB6

Join us as we strive to preserve and rejuvenate this endangered Sephardic Jewish language. Speakers of all levels are welcome.

Presented by Seattle Sephardic Network, American Ladino League, University of Washington Sephardic Studies Program, and the Mary Schwartz Summit.
