This past month we celebrated our 11th annual Greek Jewish Festival. It was so moving to welcome thousands of new friends and welcome back many of our extended community members and families. Thank you to all who helped make our festival such a success. Check out festival photos and more highlights in this newsletter. On June 15-16 we celebrate Rosh Chodesh Tammuz, the start of the fourth Hebrew month. Tammuz marks the beginning of the summer season. The 17th day of Tammuz is a fast day that commemorates the day when the walls of Jerusalem were breached by the Romans in 69 CE, marking the beginning of a period known as “the Three Weeks” leading up to Tisha B’Av. While many of us will be in Greece this summer, we invite you to join us for upcoming programs and Shabbat services. We will be happy to see you.
