In memory of Francis Salvador, A”H, a Sephardi immigrant to Charleston, South Carolina, who, on 11 January 1775, was the first Jew elected to public office in the Americas and became known as the «Southern Paul Revere» for warning his fellow Patriots of the approaching British fleet.
