Moroccan Opening Night of the 21st NY Sephardic Jewish film Festival

The Opening Night of the 21st NY Sephardic Jewish Film Festival celebrates Morocco! Featuring the Pomegranate Awards Ceremony, a kosher reception of traditional Moroccan Jewish cuisine, and special performance of Sebt Gnawa, the revival of the seldom summoned Jewish spirits of Morocco, by Grammy-nominated Innov Gnawa with Sephardi Jazz trumpeter Itamar Borochov.
Franco-Tunisian Filmmaker Saïd Ben Saïd will be honored with the 2018 Pomegranate Award for Artistic Courage and Sephardi filmmaker Na’ama Keha will receive the 2018 Ronit Elkabetz, A”H “Rising Star” Pomegranate Award.
Opening Night is presented by ASF and our friends and partners, Association Mimouna.
