The community is invited to join us at Ezra Bessaroth for a series of special events in memory of the Jews of Rhodes and Kos featuring Rabbi Marc Angel.
Rabbi Angel will speak on «Active and Passive Judaism: Lessons from the Sephardic Experience» on Thu. July 25th at 7PM.
Rabbi Angel will give the Shabbat sermon on July 27th on «The Jewish Martyrs of Rhodes: Memory and Challenge».
On that same Shabbat afternoon at 7:15 pm Rabbi Angel will speak on «Sephardim & Ashkenazim: Together & Apart». A special memorial kiddush will be held after Shabbat services on July 27th.
All memorial events have been generously sponsored by Lela and Harley Franco. Harley and Lela will also underwrite freshening up the Franco Family courtyard and landscape of the Synagogue.
