Around the exhibition Thessaloniki, the epicenter of the destruction of the Jews of Greece, the Shoah Memorial in Paris will present Thursday, March 20 to 19h:
«In the presence of my neighbors, In the presence of my neighbors»
Film 48 ‘original version, English and Greek, subtitled in French (2013)
New film in France on the Holocaust and anti-Semitism in Greece today. Presented October 16, 2013 in Thessaloniki Jewish community.
The author, George Gedeon is present, it will especially Toronto where he resides.
The writer and director is an Orthodox Christian educated at Rhodes, unaware of the disaster that has affected the Jewish community in Greece during the war, which at one point in his life, understands the magnitude and does everything to know the Greeks, the Greek government, and to all who will listen in the world.
This is an exceptional man who has spent nine years of his life to this film.
The film will be followed by a roundtable composed of Paul Hagouel, engineer and activist who lives in Memory Thessaloniki, Georges Prevelakis, professor at the Université Paris 1 and Joël Kotek, professor at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, specialist anti-Semitism in Europe.
The Roundtable will be moderated by Michel Azaria, Vice President of JEAA, Judeo-Spanish at Auschwitz
