SEPHARDIC FORUM CALL FOR PAPERS: 131st MLA ANNUAL CONVENTION AUSTIN, 7-10 JANUARY 2016

Major Sephardic Novelists:
The Risks They Take

Thank you to all of you who made the 2015 MLA Annual Convention in Vancouver such a success. The 2016 convention will be held in Austin from 7 to 10 January. The presidential theme for the 2016 convention is Literature and Its Publics: Past, Present, and Future.

The Sephardic Forum seeks proposals that explore the work of a Sephardic novelist, writing in any language, and the risks he or she has taken to further creative or sociopolitical goals.

All MLA members and others involved in the study or teaching of language and literature must register for the convention to participate in or attend meetings, visit the exhibit hall, take part in job interviews, or reserve hotel rooms at special MLA rates. The convention program will be available in the fall.
