I am very pleased to announce that a new book, «Pleasant Are Their Names; Jewish Names in the Sephardic Diaspora», edited by Professor Aaron Demsky, and published by Maryland University Press has appeared in February 2010.

It opens with two general articles: an historical/ cultural overview of the Sephardic Diaspora from 1492 to the present by Moises Orfali and the etymology of  Sephardic surnames, by Alexander Beider.
