Special commemorative lecture; "From Salonika to Rhodes: Remembering the Sephardic Aegean"

Congregation Ezra Bessaroth presents a special commemorative lecture; «From Salonika to Rhodes: Remembering the Sephardic Aegean» with guest lecturer, Assistant Professor  Devin Naar. Thursday July 21, at 8:00 pm. Dr. Naar is an expert on the Jewish communities of the Levant and is himself a descendant of Jews from Salonika. His lecture is dedicated to the memory of the 1604 Jewish martyrs of Rhodes & Cos who were deported on July 23, 1944 and murdered in Nazi death camps and in honor of those too few among them who survived.
