~  International Ladino Day, Sunday, December 6, 2015, 3-6pm – Boca Jewish Center in Boca Raton

When we mailed our season preview we listed a “Concert for International Ladino Day” for Sundlay, December 6.

While we could not organize our original concept, we have been able to put together a very meaningful event which we encourage all who can, to attend.

Details are attached in a flyer and program for this event co-sponsored with the Balkan Jewish Communities.

Our THIRD INTERNATIONAL LADINO DAY focuses on the contributions to the preservation of Ladino by Yitzhak Navon who recently passed away. It will be a tribute to his memory.

We are very proud to have the participation of Haham D. Galimidi-Hadar and Cantor Israel Maya of Miami, who will share Hanukah Lighting prayers in Ladino and a selection of traditional Ladino songs.

We will also have a live Skype visit from the Jewish community of Salonika, and share singing Ocho Kandelikas with a children’s choir.

Please join us for this very special opportunity!  At the Boca Jewish Center / Shaaray Tefilla, 21065 Powerline Road, Boca Raton 33433 – just south of Glades on Powerline (Jog) in Shops at Boca, behind Bonefish Grill.

This event came together at the last minute, so we apologize for not sharing sooner.

Please pass on the information to others – this is an outreach activity where we are sharing awareness of Sephardic Heritage and Ladino.
