New JewishGen Database: Aleppo Marriages 1847-1934

JewishGen is proud to announce a new database of more than 1,300 marriage records from Aleppo, Syria, covering 1847-1934.

This database is now searchable at:

These records are now available on the JewishGen website as a result of the work of Sarina Roffe, a member of the JewishGen Board of Governors.

These records were translated and transliterated as part of the Sephardic Heritage Project, with donations from members of Brooklyn’s Syrian Community, under the supervision of Sarina Roffe.

The original records were written in a Hebrew Rashi special Aleppo an script as well as Judeo-Arabic. They were translated to Modern Hebrew by Rabbi Abraham Ades of Bnei Brak, Israel.

Then under the supervision of Galit Mizrahi (Jerusalem, Israel), the records were translated into English and converted into a database.  They were then edited by Sarina Roffe.

JewishGen se enorgullece en anunciar una nueva base de datos de más de  1.300 registros de matrimonios de Aleppo, Siria, ocurridos entre 1847-1934.

Esta base de datos es ahora de búsqueda en:

Estos registros están disponibles en el sitio web de JewishGen como resultado de la labor de Sarina Roffe, un miembro del JewishGen Board of Governors.
