Maurice Klein speaks with Joanne Levy, about being President of the Sassoon Yehuda Sephardi Synagogue, with the highs and lows of her role as well as her determination to rejuvenate the community and Synagogue. Joanne also shares her vision and plans for the next few years to ensure the Sephardi community is not only vibrant but thriving, preserving the Sephardi heritage in Melbourne and Australia wide. She is passionate about collaborative projects, and working with other Synagogues and Jewish organisations, as well as addressing social issues including loneliness and social isolation. You don’t have to be Sephardi to be a part of the Sassoon Yehuda Sephardi Synagogue community.
