Isaac Benatar tells the story of the Jews of Rhodes, two of which were his grandparents who died at Aucshwitz, through the story of a young Jewish boy that he meet at a conference in Rhodes.
The entire Jewish population of Rhodes was almost annihilated. Only one thousand survived out of a population of 80,000. This history tells of the deceit and inhuman treatment of the Jewish community of Rhodes experienced during their deportation and eventual «liberation» by the Russian Army.

ISAAC BENATAR LL.B. was born in Zimbabwe in 1943. He is a law graduate of the University of London and worked as a public prosecutor in Rhodesia from 1970 to 1980. He immigrated to the United States in 1980 and is the author of several books.
