El 1 y 2 de marzo de 2009, tendrá lugar en la Universidad de Indiana, Bloomington, un Simposio Académico llamado “Creative Expressions of the Sephardic Experience” convocada por Profesor Judah Cohen.
Participarán la musicóloga Judith Cohen, Joel Bressler con sus investigaciones y su colección de grabaciones de música sefaradí y su sitio Sephardic Music, Pamela Sezgin también investigadora de música sefaradí y Maureen Jackson que investiga sobre música litúrgica sefaradí entre otros importantes disertantes.
